While it didn't get a particularly high score due to its southerly rear and its lack of off-street car parking, this is a good property in a good location, especially if you are looking for a two-storey Italianate Victorian terrace with loads of street presence. The Italianate influence is typified by showy verandahs and lengthy runs of balustrading. The property has been renovated in the past and, while it may not be to everyone’s taste, it would allow you to move in immediately and live comfortably until such time as you were ready to renovate. A big plus to this property (and one that is very rare for its type) is the two-step variation in the upstairs hallway. Normally in this type of property getting from one part of the upstairs to the other can involve as many as four steps down to a landing and another four steps up, which can become onerous if you have to do it regularly during the night to check on children, for instance, or go to the bathroom. Buyers may consider adding off-street car parking as access from the rear is excellent and it would further improve the rating to well over 600.
