This English-style double-storey clinker brick home in the Reid Estate has been renovated and extended to a high standard. It sits on a large parcel of land, however the front is not very useable as it lacks privacy and contains a long driveway. There is ample room for cars off the street and a carport with roller door for two undercover, however the lack of direct internal access is not ideal. The rear faces north, but the home has been extended to the boundary, limiting the light from the north. The kitchen is large but lacks natural light and has limited view of the pool and almost no view of the small grassed area. Bedroom separation is good and provides flexibility with a second upstairs master. There are internal steps to negotiate regularly, which may be an issue for some buyers. The location is a short walk to 109 tram which provides easy access to many excellent schools, both public and private, with zoning for Camberwell High and Canterbury Girl’s SC. Overall, this is a good home that is most suited to a family with older children who don’t require constant supervision when outside or when using steps. It should appeal to those with two or three kids heading to nearby schools. The big question mark for buyers will be price here. How will you value this home?
