Comments on 238 McKean Street FITZROY NORTH

I love this section of McKean Street - it's full of interesting period homes each different and special in their own way. The house at no. 238 is in good order and liveable as is. However I would expect buyers will be thinking how they can modernise the property. In particular the wet areas need upgrading and, if budgets permitted, the size of the family room and kitchen could be increased to better cope with a large family. The double garage is a bonus, although the lane is narrow, which may make turning in and out more difficult. On top of the garage is a self-contained studio, which adds flexibility to the property. Large period inner city family homes with good land content have been popular, as they are scarce commodities. And if the vendor is prepared to meet the market, there should be competition on the day.
