
Our rating of the one next door from Oct 2012 - This architect-designed townhouse would suit a busy family wishing to take advantage of the lifestyle convenience of this signature street in Armadale. It can be considered a one-and-a-half storey property, as upstairs only has two bedrooms and a study - but from the front it looks like a single level. The design of this home has created a clean and light feeling, capturing the northern light on both levels - it's actually just walls and windows but it really works to create an easy-feeling flow. There is a full-width connection to the outside on both levels, although there is some minor overlooking from the northern neighbouring properties. The upstairs full-width balcony is the highlight here, with the two double bedrooms and study/4th bedroom each opening directly into this area, which could suit older kids/adolescents as a place to relax or entertain away from the adults. This is a low-maintenance, quality package in a highly convenient position. There has been demand for $2 million newish smaller townhouses in Stonnington recently (with 5 bidders for Huntingtower Rd Armadale and and 7 bidders for Somers Ave Malvern), so it will be interesting to see how the market views this two-level new townhouse.
