This property is faux-Federation - the home was built in 1999, not 1909, and some ‘period’ trimmings can look dated when the interior attempts to mirror the era. But if you can get past that, you will find some substance here. There is quite a bit to like about the proportions: a wide passage, large kitchen, and double bedrooms. Storage has also been considered. Older families will appreciate the good bedroom separation, and there’s enough space for everyone to retreat to in this home. The outdoor dining area will get plenty of use – open out the rumpus room at rear and it becomes a great place to host parties with family friends and teenage mates. The golden triangle of the meals, kitchen and living room doesn’t work quite as well, however. The internal kitchen is short on light and the attached meals area lacks a view and is more a casual living space. The home’s location is pretty good – just over the south side of Waverly Road and near shops and tram. 70 MacGregor doesn’t look out of place in the street and keeps good company amongst the larger period family homes surrounding it.
