Comments on 85 Downshire Road ELSTERNWICK

This property is hard to fault for its type if you are looking for a family home for now and into the future. The property has good floorplan flexibility as long as you only need three bedrooms - as the fourth bedroom is more a study than a genuine bedroom. The property has been updated in the past and, despite the lowish skillion roof in the rear extension, the overall feel of the property is warm and friendly. Buyers may see the master bedroom as a little awkward with the free-standing wall behind the bed functioning as a wardrobe and the small ensuite lacking some practicality. One option could be to remove the fire-place from the master bedroom and relocate the wardrobe along the west wall. The ensuite could be improved by moving it down the side of the north wall and increasing its size. The existing window in the bedroom could then be relocated into the current doorway to the ensuite. The backyard is a real asset for families with young children in particular, with a good view of the garden from both the kitchen and family room. With a number of public and private schools in the area, as well as nearby public transport, shops and cafes, this Elsternwick property should be popular on the day.
