It’s not all that often in Elsternwick and at this price range you run into a really good feeling, edgy, slightly bohemian home. Balaclava, maybe, Fitzroy, Brunswick yes.
This is a great home for so many different groups from young couples, through the smaller families through to groovy downsizers and apart from a less than perfect car parking situation and opposite the railway – for what it is – it is almost faultless.
This home would go well in any market and in seemingly stronger one it should fly.
Now on the face of it – it’s a smaller double fronter – but they have been so smart on what they have done – the placement of master – the bunks disguising the smaller bedrooms – additional central bathroom – opened up living areas and additional rooms to the side (for study or play or home office) – great storage and the pool placement is so smart – colours into rear wall – I even like the grasses a lot – all so smart – this is a marvellous makeover – but its more than froth and bubble – it is really good thought and STBI seems well built.
Two letter boxes means there is access to the rear, along the side – doesn’t feel an issue for me – need to check contract.
Ok so three teenage boys wouldn’t work in this home – but almost every other group would – I really, really like it – it will go hard and well in any competitive bidding situation.
For what it is – it is really good.
