This single-level original period home is well located in a quiet court location and has a great feel which comes from tranquil landscaping and also pleasant internal intimacy. The plan flow is not brilliant here, yet the house has a good number of rooms and great bedroom seperation. Most would see some cosmetic work needed in the short term and perhaps even some attention given to the floor structure and roof cladding/plumbing - this is fairly typical however for a house of this age. Although the block is not huge, it has excellent width and great setback to the northern side via a generous public walkway, which links Grange Street to View Street and the location is a conveniently close to Mont Albert railway station and Surrey Park. The rear lane access is a nice little plus - it is quite wide and well paved. Overall a great package - well suited to a young family starting out or a couple downsizing.
As a basic starter package a lot to like about this package - desirable area; close to Box Hill shops but not in Box Hill, close to train and in a quiet, tree lined cul de sac - so limited traffic.
The home presents nicely from the street and has side and rear access with a reasonable sized backyard. The floorplan inside is a hotchpotch - with flow definitely not its strong suit; but it has a good number of rooms, albeit not huge in size but for what it is - entry level. I think it's worth a second thought at a low $1's price.
