What is there not to like at 19 Kirkwood if you’re a family?
Great location, great orientation and great accommodation. Yes, the façade and the finishes are middle of the road but the long-term flexible floorplan fundamentals are all here; extra large garage, extra large kitchen and extra large bedrooms. The pool is the only aspect that may not appeal as it is in the middle of the yard and it is kidney shaped but if you didn’t want it, there’s access through the garage and workshop to potentially remove it. The interior is understated and could be stylishly updated if your kids are older and if you had the desire but for many, I could see it is not needed.
The home feels of solid construction (subject to Pest & Building inspection) and I always love what full width balconies signify – a desire to design and build a home to live in, not a property to sell.
We have bought and managed the sale of homes in this street before – it is walking distance to the beach, schools, Royal Ave Tennis club and park and for the fit ones amongst us, it’s not too far from shops and train.
Next door on the east side is coming up for sale and it looks like it is ripe to be pulled down and a new home built but will that outweigh a neat, move in ready home in a popular Sandringham location?
