This is a home for the slightly off beat, it's a quaint, quirky but it's quality. Position wise this is premium Brighton at the $1m to $2m price level and it's only a big kick of the footy from the family orientated Whyte reserve - a real bonus. A couple of hundred metres from the Were St shops and the IGA and a short walk to Church St which are shops, coffee, supermarket, train and cinema not to mention 3 or so restaurants including the one hat Pantry. The home itself has a good feel - yes you could argue it's a little small for big teenage boys but for almost everybody else it has a good feel and actually a reasonable floor plan. That floor plan could be better with some opening up of the rear living area to give a bigger space and its needs a small amount of work to create an ensuite using existing plumbing. Upstairs is ideal for young kids. The quality of the build (needs an inspection) seems obvious to me as this has been built with love and care and while the ornate woodwork and stature might not be for everybody, for me it bodes well for future maintenance. Overall a home that has been on the market for some time and yes you could argue smaller yard and parking is OK without being great but that is the size of the blocks in this area and the reason it hasn't sold till now is surely only price.
