I really liked this house.
There is nothing fancy to wow me, it's just an honest, practical family home with a north facing back yard.
The room proportions and positions work well. Kids up, adults down - ideal for families, particularly those with teenage children. For those with younger ones wanting to keep them close whilst they are small, there is potential to use the dining room as a nursery in the shorter term without major impact on the functioning of the home.
If you are family of five, it is short a bedroom upstairs, therefore potentially limiting larger families who may have otherwise considered this home.
Other concern may include the fact that the home is on McKinnon Road, which carries local traffic and the bus, with a stop almost right out front the house. This will have an impact on traffic volume and noise, particularly at peak times (ie. school times and before/after work). The traffic is not in the same league as some other local roads, such as Thomas Street, however, it is something that should be considered, as it is not going to change.
This precinct is highly regarded and sought after, and being in the zone, the overall combination is still likely to have appeal for many buyers.
