Comments on 38 Edward Street ELSTERNWICK

Pretty from the front, clever at the rear and somewhat lost in the middle. I had high hopes before visiting 38 Edward Street; perhaps that's behind my frustration that I didn't exactly find what I was looking for. To be fair though, there is plenty of accommodation for a family in a relatively compact design.

The renovation to this otherwise typical Victorian single fronted loses me near the bathroom, a zigzagging, enclosed corridor holding back on the spaces beyond.  The open plan kitchen and living areas may feel small to some buyers and the bedroom adjoining the living room captures light but may lack practicality for young children particularly.

Otherwise, this is a good stepping stones home with longer term flexibility for a family needing good bedroom separation. The benefit of this home is location, close to tram, shops and park.

With many four bedroom homes in the area asking up to double the price, this may be a good compromise for a family wishing to get into the area or needing heaps of bedrooms and willing to sacrifice land and living space for price.
