Is this home or land - for those that want a plain home with a big space then as is, it works. This home will appeal to those who want big but not expensive (building that is). For those that want a home with a bit of wow then this is land only - there is no wow - you bulldoze and start again. There are new builds in this highly regarded street.
This home is all about big spaces. We have rated this home for a family to move in although most will consider at least a cosmetic upgrade necessary. The appeal of this rather plain facade is counter-balanced by the huge front garden and an interesting cluster of gum trees. A tandem garage is not quite befitting of the land size and the ample accommodation here.
The bedrooms to bathrooms numbers and placement ratios are not balanced. The corridors are tight and the flow is not easy but this home may appeal to renovators wishing to open up the kitchen and living areas to take advantage of the outdoor vistas - although don't spend too much because not sure you will get your money back. The slope of the backyard is a positive in terms of views - but it limits the indoor/outdoor connection with the home. The expansive gardens do have some overlooking.
Overall, this home may be ideal for growing families who want the feeling of space, quiet, trees and a good location - with proximity to Hedgeley Dene gardens, Wattletree Rd tram-line, good schools and Monash freeway.
