Comments on 6 Irymple Avenue GLEN IRIS

6 Irymple is a good feeling home and by this, I mean a home all the family will feel good coming home too; throwing school bags down after jumping off the tram, grabbing a snack and sharing stories about their day before they each head off to one of the 3 separate living areas in the home or else, moving into the relaxing garden surrounding the home.

The agent tells us it’s a 20 year old Inform home and it seems to have stood the test of time thanks to Inform and also the vendors who seem to have lovingly maintained the property – subject to a Pest & Building inspection. It is move in ready although some may want to update some of the finishes to their own preferred style. The home is ideal for a family with 2 or 3 kids and the office at the front of the home, is such a necessity in the new work from home environment many now inhabit. The possible drawback for those with 3 kids is there is no spare bedroom for guests, especially the elderly although there is space to add this to the building in the backyard or above the garage (STCA.) The bonus at this property is the 2 balconies – one for parents and one for kids – which add to the serenity of the home.

This property has the basis of what families want in a contemporary home with the space to add more such as a pool and larger outdoor uncover entertaining spaces. The backyard is such a good a size that families may also consider installing a sports court – aren’t they popular right now? The backyard is private as the mature trees shield visibility to the apartment buildings (possible negative element of the position) and the laneway behind (possible positive element.)

The location is a desirable one – around the corner from Central Park in a no through road and all the shops and cafes as well as walking distance to great schools and the aforementioned tramline.

The price point is a competitive one right now although the method of sale is a cautious one after a failed campaign at a higher quote level last year.

If you want a family friendly location and a family home with flexibility to make it your own (without having to build new) then this home may be the one you want to commit to.
