The home provides an opportunity for younger families who want to remain 'beachside of the highway' but who may find themselves outpriced in the traditional Bayside suburbs. The rebuilt home offers good bedroom accommodation and a large open-plan kitchen family area in what was once Moorabbin and is now called Hampton East. For those with younger families the floorplan is likely to work well. The current floorplan may struggle to work satisfactorily for teenagers, as the one living area does not provide for much separation, however, there is an option for the fourth bedroom to be used as a second living area. The family room connects well to the rear back yard and, whilst it is not overly large, it is adequate by today's standards and provides enough space for summer barbeques and entertaining. The position is close to transport, with a small shopping strip and a supermarket within walking distance.  Concerns for buyers may include the southerly rear orientation, which does negatively impact on light into the kitchen and meals area. However, the introduction of skylights would help offset the negative light issues.  As this is a timber home, buyers will need to be prepared for a higher level of ongoing maintenance than with a brick home to keep the home's appearance at a high level.
