Our Rating from 2013:
This extensively renovated period home has been given a great deal of attention with regard to finishes and details. We can see a modern family here, with one or two children, who love the showcase aspect and the location close to the city, market and tram and train. Professional couples will love the smart ensuite, while children are truly indulged with a sophisticated bathroom. The kitchen has been given an impressive fit out, with a nice high ceiling at rear. Light issues in the rear living area, bedrooms and bathroom have been partially offset by skylights. A small internal laundry in the main passage is the only thing that may bring the tone down a notch. Given the location means you could get by without driving at all, the property is actually a bit spoilt with space for two cars - perhaps one larger SUV and a tiny runabout. Access is via Hurry Place at the rear. No. 87 Charles, also a renovated terrace, was bought at auction for $1,180,000 a couple of months ago. It also had three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two car spots. Number 93 has a higher quote price. Does this reflect a market on the move or the high quality renovation?
